We have a team that is based throughout many parts of the world and we respect everyone's local holidays. Therefore, we don’t maintain a set list of company holidays. Instead, we offer a flexible PTO program that empowers teammates to observe the holidays and cultural celebrations that are meaningful to them, no matter where they live.

<aside> ℹ️ To help with visibility and planning, teammates should log their chosen holidays in Time off by Deel as early as possible, so their time off is represented on their Sourcegraph calendar. Please follow our PTO policy guidelines and work with your manager and team to ensure coverage during holidays where other teammates are also out.

We will not hold company meetings on the US holidays listed below. If you believe a widely-observed holiday is missing from this list, please reach out to [email protected].

• New Year's Day - observed January 1st
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day - observed third Monday in January
• Easter Monday - observed the Monday following Easter Sunday (varies by year, but will fall between March 22 and April 25)
• U.S. Memorial Day - observed May 31
• Fourth of July - observed the Monday following the 4th of July
• Labor Day (US/Canada) - observed first Monday in September
• Thanksgiving - observed fourth Thursday of November
• Christmas Eve and Christmas - observed December 24th and 25th. There is no company meeting on or between December 23 and January 1. Most team members will take that time off.

How to add other countries' holidays to your Google calendar:

1. Go to Google calendar
2. Click 'Settings' (top right)
3. Click 'Add a calendar' (on the navigation bar to the left)
4. Select 'Browse calendars of interest'
5. Under Regional holidays, click 'Browse all'
